Behind the Scenes Senior Portrait - Brittany Perea | Emily McGonigle Photography
Hey everyone!
I know things have been quiet around here lately, but that's because I'm cooking up a lot on the back end! I've been tirelessly editing my life away (yes, still), I've launched a new retouching brand (Emily McGonigle Retouch), and I've been working on a few top secret projects with my business partner in crime (stay tuned for more on that in weeks to come).
But for now, I wanted to stop by and introduce you all to the lovely Brittany Perea!
Brittney is a high school senior at Curry Ingram Academy. This is the second time I've gotten the chance to work with the Perea family. They first hired me to photograph Brittany's older sister's senior portraits. Tiffany and Brittany definitely have different styles and different personalities, but both were extremely fun to work with!
When I met with Brittany, she expressed to me a love of fashion that speaks to female strength as well as throws back to the old classical Hollywood style. We took that idea and incorporated a little of all of that into each look of her session!
Brittany had 3 different looks the day of her session. She had a casual look, a dressy look, and a more fun youthful look, all 3 very different from one another. We wanted to be able to showcase as much of Brittany's personality and versatile style as possible.
We had Katrina Brooks on set with us that day, and she worked her magic making Brittany look her very best in every setup.
Brittany was a joy to work with. We laughed a lot, had a great time, and made some awesome images together. Here's a sneak peek of one of the finished images from the first set up!
Special thanks goes to Katrina Brooks for doing a fabulous job, as always, and to Matthew Simmons for all his help on set!
