Introducing EMP's 2021 High School Senior Models | Emily McGonigle Photography
It’s that time of year again! Spring is coming, and so is senior portrait season! 🙌🏻
With that, I thought I’d bring back the Senior Model program (because, why not?), and as a result, I’d like to introduce to you this year’s team!
Bree Adhami
First up, we have Bree Adhami!
Bree is a junior at Independence High School and is super passionate about dance! She has been a dancer since she was 2 years old, and she participates in various dance performances, competitions, and conventions. Dancing serves as an outlet for Bree to take a break from the busyness of the world around her. It's also a way to connect with friends and find her joy in performing for others.
Something I always like to ask my clients is what drew them specifically to my work. It allows me to get to know what they are attracted to aesthetically. It also helps guide my artistic decisions down the line, making sure I'm providing images that my clients will love forever! When I asked Bree this question, she said, "I really just love how different your senior portraits are compared to other photographers. It's easy to see that you really focus on the models because each photo has a different personality."
I am so excited to do Bree's senior portrait session with her! We have something EPIC planned, but shhh, It's a secret. 🤫 You'll have to stay tuned to find out what it is. 😘
Madilynn Tucker
Next up, we have Madilynn Tucker!
Madilynn is currently a junior at Greenbrier High School, and like Bree, she is also a dancer! Her talent is actually multi-faceted, as she’s on the varsity dance team, plays soccer, swims, plays piano and guitar! WOO! Talk about a quintuple threat! But wait… there’s MORE! By the time Madilynn begins her senior year in high school, she will also be a college junior! She has completed 40 credit hours in a single year while still maintaining a 4.0 GPA in her high school and college classes. Is there anything this girl can’t do?!
Madilynn also participates in Swim Across America, where she spends a day swimming a mile, raising money for cancer research. She has been recognized as the youngest swimmer to complete the swim since starting at 7 years old. SAA is an organization and event close to her heart, and she’s passionate about participating each and every year.
When I asked Madilynn what drew her to my work, she stated, “I believe every person is unique and beautiful, and you seem to bring that out in your photos.”
I’m looking forward to continuing to bring that out in her photos as well! 💕
Emma Newton
Last but not least, we have Emma Newton!
Emma is a junior at Independence High School, and she has a smile and personality that is infectious! Once again, we have a dancer! (I’m not mad about it. I love working with performers. 😂). Emma also plays tennis, piano and enjoys volunteering.
Emma loves playing board games with her friends and enjoys playing video games with her boyfriend on the weekends. (She’s a girl after my own heart. 🥰🎮 We spent A LOT of time talking about anime and video games during her model session. 😂). While Emma is super passionate about her friends and enjoys being around them, she also enjoys art.
When I asked her what attracted her to my work, she told me, “I absolutely love the outfits that you chose for Bree’s senior model shoot, and from what I’ve seen so far, it looks super cool!”
Emma has a super cool style of her own, unlike any other senior portrait shoots I’ve done. I’m really looking forward to leaning into that for her upcoming senior portrait session!
I’m really looking forward to getting to know all the girls better throughout this year as we plan their senior portrait sessions! Making connections with my clients is always the most fun part of my job… but you know, getting to make gorgeous photos with them too doesn’t hurt either. 😘
