Welcome to the Studio! | Emily McGonigle Photography
Hi there, friends! This blog post is WAAAAAAY overdue, but I’m so excited to officially announce that I’ve moved into my own studio space!
[Cue balloon and confetti falling from the ceiling]
For years I worked out of WELD, which was an amazing experience, but the opportunity to move into my own space presented itself, and I just HAD to jump on it.
The studio is located in East Nashville, off Gallatin Pike, on the third floor of an old church building. It has the original wood flooring and ✨G O R G E O U S✨ natural light.
Like, I can’t stress ENOUGH how beautiful the light in this room is. It’s a photographer’s dream.
The one thing that I loved about working out of WELD for so many years was the social interaction with other creatives. However, I’m lucky enough to share the same floor as Matthew Simmons and his studio, Home Studio, the office of Molly Green, and more! There are so many friendly faces and so much creativity flowing through the space it’s fantastic.
I would also be lying if I said I didn’t love having my own private office to meet with clients and… you know… take a mid-day nap if needed.
The studio has a dedicated station for hair and makeup, space for my gear, and a great clothing rack with enough space for client clothing, and the wardrobe closet I’m starting to build out!
Since I moved into the studio in September, I’ve already done a handful of shoots there, and they were amazing. I can’t wait to start publishing the images from those senior portrait sessions and share with you the magic we made together in my new studio!
